NH2 showroom: War Time Anti-Aircraft Equipment (1939-1945)

The wartime showroom was first completed in 1996. The museum was later upgraded and re-opened in 2006, however once again the museum was improved upon during the winter of 2007.

The showroom houses all of the equipment that were used in the war.

New equipment and mementos has been added to the showroom during the winter, such as the 76 mm heavy Bofors anti-aircaft cannon. Within the showroom, visitors can experience the five year history timeline which is displayed in a total of 36 showcases. In the middle of the showroom, many cannons and radar devices are found.

The museum also contains vast amounts of information and documentation on Helsinki's anti-aircraft system and on the February 1944 bombings. At the back of the showroom the 88mm heavy RMB cannon, Lambda predictor, Irja fire control radar, searchlights and the air defence centre can be found.
